Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a SDET Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX/Tampa, FL/Merrill Lynch, NJ. The ideal candidate with expertise in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable test automation frameworks for functional, regression, API, and database testing.


Rate Range: $40/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


SDET Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for functional, regression, API, and database testing.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and related testing tools.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage by developing scalable and reusable automation solutions.
• Perform API testing using Postman or RestAssured and validate backend data through database test automation.
• Analyze, debug, and troubleshoot test failures, identify defects and support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Agile scrum teams to support quality assurance activities, test planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG, and test automation framework development.
• Experience with API testing (Postman/RestAssured), database test automation, and Agile testing methodologies.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $41.00 per hour
